His Majesty King Hamad yesterday issued a decree appointing General Sports Authority (GSA) facilities and projects deputy CEO Dana Mudhafar as the authority’s new deputy chief executive.
The appointment was based on a proposal by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) president and following the approval of the Cabinet.
According to the decree, the SCYS president shall implement the provisions of the decree, which shall come into effect on its issuance date and be published in the Official Gazette.
The King issued another decree restructuring the Tender Board, based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Yasser Humaidan was appointed chairman and Maryam Al Ansari deputy chairperson.
Members will be Dr Ijlal Al Alawi, Ali Abdullatif, Balsam Al Salman, Raghdan Abdulrasool, Lama Al Mahroos, Mohammed Abdulmalik and Bader Al Buqaishi.
The term of membership shall be two years.
The Prime Minister and ministers, each within their capacity, shall implement the provisions of the decree, which shall come into effect the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
A third royal decree was issued restructuring the board of trustees of the National Archives Centre, based on the proposal of the Prime Minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.
According to the decree, the board of trustees shall be formed under the chairmanship of the Public Affairs Minister at the Royal Court, with the membership of:
1. Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Deputy Chairman.
2. Minister of Social Development.
3. Representative of the Royal Archives Centre.
4. Chairman of the National Archives Centre.
5. Assistant secretary general for Information and Session Management at the Cabinet Secretariat General.
6. Dr Abdulghani Abdullah.
The centre shall designate its representative.
The membership term shall be four years, renewable.
The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the decree, which shall come into effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
