A private educational institution used a test model that contained an example that was against the customs and traditions of Bahrain, the Education Ministry has confirmed.
It was also inconsistent with the rules and standards adopted in educational processes, the ministry added.
Authorities launched an investigation in co-operation with the school, following which officials issued a warning to the administration and directed the dismissal of the individual responsible for preparing, reviewing and approving the exam.
The ministry also confirmed that it assigned a team of specialists to review all curricula and academic models used by the school.
No other violations were reportedly detected apart from what was identified in the exam.
