The Sustainable Development Ministry held a workshop with government entities in Bahrain, in collaboration with Bain & Company and the World Economic Forum (WEF), to explore artificial intelligence (AI) applications for sustainability in the public sector.
The workshop is part of a broader initiative under Bain & Company and WEF’s Leaders of Sustainable Mena Community to identify high-impact AI use cases that advance sustainability across industries.
Under this theme, the workshop is the first step towards developing an AI prototype to accelerate sustainability efforts across industries in Bahrain. The outcomes of this collaboration will be captured in a research-driven report, planned for release in early 2026 and showcased through international platforms and events.
