Bahrain has emerged as a leading model in humanitarian work, with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) achieving significant milestones in providing aid and extending bridges of goodwill to countries around the world, His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and RHF board chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said yesterday.
In a statement marking World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on August 19, Shaikh Nasser said it embodies the values of giving and solidarity with affected communities worldwide.
It also highlights the vital role of humanitarian workers as the last line of defence for human dignity and life, he said.
Shaikh Nasser noted that the vision of His Majesty, and the ongoing support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, serve as a strong motivation for all RHF workers to continue their charitable efforts and fulfil their humanitarian duties.
