His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received a cable of congratulations from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) president, on the council’s 24th anniversary.
HRH Princess Sabeeka highlighted that the SCW is a national institution marked by milestones achieved by Bahraini women.
It has become a pioneering model with a recognised presence at the local, regional and international levels in the fields of institutional work and strategic planning, she said.
This has been made possible through the support and vision of His Majesty, which is a source of pride for every Bahraini woman, she pointed out.
HRH Princess Sabeeka said His Majesty’s support reflects his foresight in advancing the role of women and enabling their contributions to Bahrain’s development.
She underscored the contributions of Bahraini women to the kingdom’s progress, their recognised humanitarian role in building society and the broad horizons they have reached in achievement, creativity and innovation.
HRH Princess Sabeeka emphasised that these achievements were made possible through the constant support of the King and with the government’s efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to integrate women into national development plans and empower them as essential partners in development.
The SCW will continue implementing programmes and initiatives, establishing successful partnerships with local, regional and international institutions, and working with determination to translate His Majesty’s vision into reality by advancing Bahraini women towards greater leadership and excellence, she pledged.
HRH Princess Sabeeka also stressed the SCW’s commitment to supporting women in fulfilling their ambitions, believing in their abilities and competencies across all domains, so that they continue to contribute alongside men.
She wished His Majesty a long life to continue supporting Bahraini women and to achieve further progress and prosperity for the kingdom.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also received a cable of congratulations from HRH Princess Sabeeka.
She highlighted the government’s initiatives, programmes and pioneering projects, led by HRH Prince Salman, which have strengthened the role of Bahraini women across all fields.
HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed her appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s steadfast commitment to supporting Bahraini women.
