His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has affirmed the importance of the national Press as an integral part of Team Bahrain.
He highlighted its position as a cornerstone of the kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH Prince Salman made the remarks yesterday as he met newly-elected Bahraini Journalists Association (BJA) chairman Isa Al Shaiji and board members at Gudaibiya Palace.
He also emphasised the vital role of the Press in promoting national values and fostering social awareness through responsible and purposeful reporting.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the importance of media discourse in supporting national development and empowering citizens, thereby strengthening the kingdom’s position across various sectors.
He extended his congratulations to the BJA chairman and board members on their election victory, noting the essential role of journalists in advancing national progress by spotlighting Bahrain’s achievements and honourable successes, reflecting the passion, energy and unwavering determination of the Bahraini people.
He further highlighted the national Press’ responsibility to report on key societal issues and promote noble values throughout the community. He stressed the need for further efforts to build upon these accomplishments through unified and dedicated action.
HRH Prince Salman commended the sector for integrity, dedication and service to the nation in fulfilling their journalistic mission.
The BJA chairman expressed his sincere appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s steadfast support of the national Press, noting that such commitment continues to serve as a driving force behind the kingdom’s aspirations.
The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials.
