A number of MPs have commended the decision by Legal Affairs Minister and Acting Labour Minister Yusuf Khalaf to grant permanent status to 47 temporary employees at the ministry.
They described the move as a ‘humanitarian and patriotic step’ that reflects the state’s commitment to recognising and protecting Bahraini workers.
They praised the minister’s constructive engagement with proposals submitted to him by MPs, which helped resolve a case that had lingered for more than 16 years.
The MPs said the decision restores dignity to long-serving employees and called for similar initiatives across government organisations.
They stressed that investing in Bahrainis remains the foundation of sustainable development, according to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
