Young consumer champions have been given an insight into industry standards and practices in the highly-competitive motoring sector by one of the kingdom’s leading companies.
The educational event was staged yesterday by Almoayyed Motors at the Ford showroom in Sitra.
The Consumer Protection Ambassadors were part of a project launched by Industry and Commerce Ministry’s Consumer Protection Directorate, in co-operation with the Youth Affairs Ministry.
The programme aims to ‘cultivate a promising and informed generation’ that understands consumer rights and responsibilities during commercial transactions such as buying and selling in the market.
During the event, Almoayyed Motors general manager Mario D’Costa greeted the trainees and emphasised the importance of practical exposure in developing future professionals.
The visit also featured a presentation by Ford Service senior manager Karim Isa, who shared insights from his 35 years in the automotive industry and explained key service operations and customer care processes.
The young ambassadors toured the showroom, interacted with the staff, and gained valuable knowledge. They expressed their appreciation for the hospitality and knowledge shared by the Almoayyed Motors team.
This initiative reflects Almoayyed Motors’ commitment to supporting national development and fostering collaboration with government entities, the company added, particularly the Consumer Protection Directorate.
