A total of 3,180 tonnes of waste was removed from Block 955 in Hafira as a part of a large-scale cleaning campaign organised by the Southern Municipality.
The campaign was conducted in co-operation with Urbaser Bahrain cleaning company during which tonnes of waste was removed from the site to reduce environmental pollution resulting from its accumulation.
The municipality added that cleaning campaigns and visits will continue to maintain public hygiene.
