The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced a revamped regulatory framework for its training programmes to improve their effectiveness and ensure they align with its strategic goals.
This initiative follows a comprehensive review of several professional certification programmes, which resulted in the delisting of 20 certificates and the amendment of support criteria for six others.
The changes aim to enhance the skills of Bahraini talent, boosting their career prospects or helping them launch their own businesses.
The new framework includes controls to measure the impact of training on beneficiaries and requires ongoing follow-ups to track professional development.
As part of this effort, Tamkeen conducted more than 30 inspection visits to training providers and contacted more than 400 programme participants to gather feedback and monitor their career progression.
These efforts are in line with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategic priorities, which focus on making Bahrainis the employee of choice in the private sector and fostering enterprise growth, digitalisation and sustainability.
