A SERIES of awareness lectures for school bus drivers was held by the General Directorate of Traffic as part of its preparations for the new academic year and in line with its commitment to ensuring the safety of students.
The lectures aimed to enhance drivers’ awareness on the importance of adhering to safe and proper transport practices.
They familiarised them with the recommended procedures to be followed during the transport process to guarantee students’ safety.

During the lectures, the directorate emphasised the need to strictly comply with traffic laws and regulations.
They were instructed to observe speed limits, avoid driving in restricted lanes, refrain from exceeding the permitted number of passengers and ensure proper parking at school sites to prevent traffic congestion.
Drivers were also urged to co-operate with Community Police personnel and school guards to facilitate traffic flow around educational institutions.
