Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak received Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Coexistence of Religions (Ta’ayush) board of directors chairman Bozboun.
Mr Bozboun presented the minister with a copy of a book which highlights the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad in promoting the values of tolerance, dialogue and coexistence among religions and cultures.
Mr Al Mubarak emphasised that the kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty, and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has established a pioneering global model of coexistence and harmony.
This has been achieved through strengthening the values of mutual respect, enhancing a culture of peace and promoting dialogue among different religions and cultures, reflecting the kingdom’s civilisational and humanitarian image.
The minister commended the role of Ta’ayush in supporting the values of religious coexistence and tolerance. He also valued the publication of the book, which highlights Bahrain’s status on the international stage as a beacon of tolerance, peace, and cultural and religious diversity.
The meeting also discussed the main programmes and initiatives undertaken by the association to promote understanding and rapprochement among different religions and cultures, contributing to national efforts to strengthen social peace.
