The Social Development Ministry has unveiled a new digital system that will streamline services for 661 associations and NGOs in Bahrain.
Assistant under-secretary for community development Enas Almajed told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej that the platform includes more than 20 services, such as applications for establishment, opening bank accounts, fundraising permits, financial support, foreign transfers and licence renewals.
She noted that the system will accelerate processing by more than 60 per cent, ensure full transparency through electronic tracking, and strengthen confidence between the ministry and civil society. The initiative is part of Bahrain’s wider digital transformation strategy, and is expected to be fully implemented by the end of the year.
