St Christopher’s School, ranked by Spear’s Magazine among the top international schools in the Middle East and listed in the top 100 worldwide, has officially welcomed students and families to the 2025/26 academic year.
To mark the start of term, a series of induction activities were held yesterday to help new students settle in.
“St Christopher’s is more than a school, it is a community where students, staff and families come together to learn, grow and inspire one another,” said principal Dr Simon Watson.
“This year we look forward not only to celebrating academic success, but also to nurturing creativity, wellbeing, and a sense of shared humanity that prepares our students to be role models for the world.”

Students getting ready for the new academic year
With campuses in Saar and Isa Town, St Chris offers families a caring community where children thrive academically, socially and personally.
At the Saar campus, nursery families joined a relaxed ‘Stay and Play’ session, while reception and junior school pupils took part in tours and icebreaker activities.
Meanwhile, in Isa Town, senior school orientations introduced students and parents to life at St Chris.
Year 12 students also attended a detailed welcome presentation, outlining the challenges and opportunities of sixth form life.
These carefully planned activities reflect the school’s emphasis on smooth transitions, wellbeing and preparing students to thrive both academically and socially.

Children during induction day activities
St Chris continues to set the standard for education in Bahrain, with nearly 50 per cent of sixth form results awarded at A*-A this year, and nearly 60pc of GCSE results were top grades.
The vast majority of graduates secured places at their first-choice universities, including some of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
Work on the new Senior School is progressing rapidly, with its state-of-the-art facilities on track to welcome students in August 2026.
The campus represents an exciting milestone for education in Bahrain, offering innovative spaces designed to inspire learning, creativity and collaboration.
Alongside this progress, there remain opportunities for families and organisations to contribute to the legacy of the new site by sponsoring unique spaces, such as the Arabic tent, that will enrich student life for generations to come.
