Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met the Public Security Officers Club’s staff responsible for organising the summer programme activities, which engaged 1,207 children aged between 5 and 14.
He commended the distinguished social, educational and sporting role played by the club in meeting the aspirations of its members, developing children’s abilities, and preparing a conscious generation capable of facing future challenges.
General Shaikh Rashid expressed appreciation to the management and the co-operating entities for their continuous efforts in fulfilling this social role, commending their dedication and wishing them continued success in serving the nation.
The summer programme, which took place from June to August for members’ children, featured sports, cultural and recreational activities, was aimed at making constructive use of the participants’ free time, enhancing their physical, intellectual and social abilities, as well as promoting authentic national values.
It also provided a safe and healthy environment that combined learning with entertainment.
