A number of residents were injured in a blaze yesterday in a residential building in Arad. They were taken to hospital and the authorities’ stated they remain in a ‘stable’ condition.
The Interior Ministry said that firemen from the Civil Defence were called to the scene, tackled and successfully extinguished the flames.
Initial investigations into the cause suggest a gas leak was responsible.
The GDN earlier reported that two people died in February when a building collapsed after an unsecured gas cylinder in a restaurant exploded.
Investigations and technical reports confirmed that owner had violated safety requirements.
