A bogus expatriate beautician, who allegedly practiced procedures without a licence has been referred to the Lower Criminal Court, with a hearing scheduled for next Tuesday.
She has also been accused of possessing and importing unlicensed drugs.
The expatriate woman, whose age and nationality have not been disclosed, reportedly claimed to be a dermatologist and cosmetologist on social media.
She advertised her services with posts showing her performing unlicensed medical procedures in her apartment.
Details of her activities were investigated by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).
A sting operation was carried out, and it is alleged the accused was caught in the act while injecting clients with Botox in exchange for money, using medical drugs imported from outside the kingdom.
She has been interrogated and placed in pretrial detention. The medical items have been confiscated.
The Public Prosecutor stressed the importance of adhering to legal regulations aimed at protecting patients from unsafe medical practices that could endanger their health and safety.
They also emphasised the need to comply with procedures and instructions set by the NHRA.
