THE new executive committee of the Kannada Sangha Bahrain will be inducted in a ceremony at the Cultural Hall in Manama on Friday.
The event will feature cultural performances showcasing the rich traditions of the southwestern Indian state of Karnataka.
Renowned Indian magician Kudroli Ganesh will also perform, while Devi Ganeshpura will present an art show.
The evening will also include a dance performance.
Dignitaries expected to attended include chief guest and former MP and Qadisiyah Youth Empowerment Centre board member Yousif Al Harmi, Karnataka Legislative Council chairman Dinesh Rao, Karnataka Health Minister Rahim Khan, Municipal Affairs and Haj Minister and NRI Forum Karnataka vice-president Dr Arathi Krishna.
The newly-appointed committee includes president Ajith Bangera, vice president Nithin Shetty, general secretary Ramprasad Ammenadka, joint secretary Harinath Suvarna, treasurer Eshwar Anchan, assistant treasurer Pulikeshi Saranappa, cultural secretary Harini Shetty, assistant cultural secretary Harisha Gowda, sports secretary Nithesh Shetty, committee members Purushothama Jogi, Lokesh Samay and Harishchandra Gowda and internal auditor Pravin Kinnigoli.
The event will take place from 5pm to 9.30pm and it is open to all members of the community.
