A colourful folk dance competition showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage was staged at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) as part of its ongoing Sravanam 2025, the 44-day-long Onam celebrations.
Several dance troupes representing various Indian states took part.
The event started with BKS president P V Radhakrishna Pillai lighting the traditional lamp.
Team Battle Girls were the winners, followed by Team Rhythm Dancers and Team Bahrain Odia Samaj.
Team Naga Girls won the consolation prize.
Prizes and awards were distributed to the participants.
The Onam festivities at BKS will continue until October 3.
