BAHRAIN is gearing up to host the Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show (MEOS GEO 2025) from September 16 to 18 at Exhibition World Bahrain.
Being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the event, themed ‘Energy for a prosperous future: Leading a sustainable tomorrow,’ is expected to attract over 17,000 global participants, including industry leaders, experts, and researchers.
This year’s agenda features a high-level strategic conference and a specialised technical programme with more than 12 parallel sessions. An international exhibition will showcase hundreds of companies from around the world, making it a comprehensive platform for innovation and knowledge exchange.
This year, MEOS GEO 2025 will feature several interactive zones designed to foster innovation and networking. The ‘Live Labs & Genius Talks’ will host workshops and sessions focused on the latest digitalisation solutions, offering a platform for startups to present their ideas. The e-Poster Zone is a dedicated space where over 205 electronic presentations of research and innovations will be displayed. Entrepreneurs can connect with investors and industry leaders in the ‘Start-up Zone’, while the ‘Digitalisation Zone’ will explore trends related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Attendees can also see advanced transportation solutions for the oil and gas sector at the ‘Truck Zone’, and experience Bahrain’s rich heritage, from handicrafts to local cuisine, at the ‘Cultural Village’.
Informa Markets general manager Mohammed Ebrahim expressed his pride in this year’s edition, highlighting the “innovative events and interactive exhibition areas that will help inspire attendees and broaden horizons of knowledge.” He added that the event reinforces “Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for hosting global events.”
Organised by Informa Markets with the support of the Oil and Environment Ministry, MEOS GEO 2025 is a long-standing conference, first launched in 1979. It is held in partnership with several key industry associations, including the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
