The Government Hospitals, in co-ordination with primary healthcare centres, has launched the ‘Visiting Surgeon’ programme aimed at expanding surgical services and enabling patients to undergo minor surgical procedures in a way that enhances responsiveness and service efficiency.
Government Hospitals CEO Dr Mariam Al Jalahma affirmed that the programme helps simplify and accelerate the performance of minor surgeries near patients’ homes, ensuring quicker access to necessary medical care.
