The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) is set to support the upcoming Fintech Forward 2025 (FF25) conference for the third year in a row, reinforcing its commitment to the future of finance in the region.
The leading fintech event will be held from October 8 to 9 at Exhibition World Bahrain, bringing together top industry leaders to discuss crucial topics in financial technology.
These discussions are designed to foster a deeper understanding of the sector’s rapid evolution and strengthen Bahrain’s reputation as a leader in financial innovation.
CBB Governor Khalid Humaidan said he was “pleased” to continue supporting FF25, which has previously cemented Bahrain’s reputation as a top hub for fintech and financial innovation.
“As Bahrain’s financial services sector continues to evolve, collaboration between regulators and innovators is more crucial than ever,” said Mr Humaidan. “The CBB is committed to nurturing a dynamic and inclusive financial landscape, where new technologies can be developed and adopted to serve the future needs of our economy.”
Bahrain’s financial services sector contributed a leading 17.2 per cent to the country’s GDP in 2024, driving economic diversification. The sector is home to 369 local and international financial institutions, including conventional and Islamic banks, as well as new financial players like crypto asset firms, fintech companies, digital payment providers, and specialists in cybersecurity, reg-tech, and insure-tech.
FF25 is hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) and programmed by Economist Impact. The event is supported by the CBB, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, and Bahrain FinTech Bay.
