His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on his arrival in the kingdom.
Also present were his Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa; the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa; Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and a number of senior officials.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed regional developments following the Israeli attack in Qatar on Tuesday and international topics of mutual concern.
His Majesty hosted a luncheon at Sakhir Palace in honour of President Shaikh Mohammed and the accompanying delegation.
They exchanged cordial talks, reflecting the deep-rooted historical ties and close relations between the two nations.
The two leaders emphasised their mutual commitment to further strengthening relations for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
His Majesty later bid farewell to President Shaikh Mohammed as he concluded his visit to Bahrain.
