The Cabinet has highlighted the importance of the meeting held between His Majesty King Hamad and UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which aims to further strengthen relations and co-operation to serve common aspirations.
The UAE President’s visit reaffirms the shared commitment to further enhance co-ordination between the two countries, particularly following recent regional developments, the Cabinet noted during the weekly meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday at Gudaibiya Palace.
Marking International Day of Peace, the Cabinet affirmed the King’s commitment to advancing pioneering initiatives that encourage peace and coexistence, thereby reinforcing security and stability and supporting development and prosperity.
The Cabinet welcomed the launch of the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (Asry) solar energy project, the largest of its kind in the world in the marine repair and construction sector, in co-operation with Kanoo CleanMax Renewables, which was attended by His Majesty’s Representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Bapco Energies chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. It affirmed that the project reflects the companies’ commitment to supporting environmental initiatives.
The Cabinet also commended the success of the Second Global Water, Energy and Climate Change Congress, recently hosted by the kingdom, noting the high levels of attendance and participation. It stressed that such events reaffirm Bahrain’s commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at advancing the sustainability of water resources.
The Cabinet also expressed its best wishes for success to the doctors who will be taking the Bahraini Board Exam for Family Medicine, which are being held for the first time since the Bahrain Council for Health Studies and Specialties obtained institutional accreditation from the Arab Board of Health Specialities.
The Cabinet welcomed the UN General Assembly’s adoption of a resolution endorsing the New York Declaration regarding a two-state solution for Palestine which affirms the international community’s desire for a future of security and stability. It commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia and France for their efforts that contributed to the issuance of the declaration and its adoption by the United Nations General Assembly.
The Cabinet reviewed and approved the following memorandums:
1. A memorandum submitted by the Civil Service Council on restructuring several government agencies to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
2. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the government’s response to several draft laws and motions submitted by Parliament and draft laws submitted by the Shura Council.
The Cabinet also noted the outcomes of the following ministerial reports:
1. The official visit of the Interior Minister to Pakistan.
2. The kingdom’s participation in the 165th session of the GCC Ministerial Council, and the Second Joint Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the GCC and Japan.
3. Bahrain’s participation in 164th Ordinary Session of the Arab League at the level of foreign ministers.
4. The Foreign Minister’s visit to the UAE.
5. The official visit of the Foreign Minister to Japan to participate in the first strategic dialogue between Bahrain and Japan.
6. The kingdom’s participation in the eighth Joint Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the GCC and Russia.
7. The kingdom’s participation in the Gulf Green Mobility Forum.
8. The kingdom’s participation in the Second Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference (SMIC 2025).
9. The kingdom’s participation in the 11th Meeting of the Committee of GCC Labour Ministers.
10. The official visit of the Cabinet Affairs Minister and the Information Minister to the UAE.
11. The official visit of the Housing and Urban Planning Minister to Jordan.
12. The official visit of the Youth Affairs Minister to Italy.
13. The kingdom’s participation in the 11th Meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs / Development of the GCC Countries.
