Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, have been arrested for allegedly threatening and blackmailing a 14-year-old through a social media platform.
The Child Protection in Cyberspace Unit at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security received a report about the alleged blackmail, following which an investigation was launched, the Interior Ministry said yesterday. The suspects were identified and arrested, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution, the ministry added.
