Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa yesterday highlighted the significance of Bahrain’s National Day celebration at Expo 2025 Osaka, through which “the kingdom proudly showcases its identity to the world and reaffirms the values it has always cherished”.
“These values have, throughout Bahrain’s long history, established the kingdom as a bridge between civilisations, a safe harbour for trade, and a destination for science, knowledge, and culture,” he pointed out.
Shaikh Khalifa, who is also the Bahrain Pavilion’s commissioner general, extended his warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion.
Japan’s Minister of State for the Cabinet Office in charge of Expo Affairs and Minister of State for Economy, Trade and Industry Koga Yoichiro expressed his congratulations on National Day, held under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He highlighted the important partnership and longstanding friendship between the two countries, noting that bilateral relations have continued to expand across various fields. He also expressed his appreciation to Bahrain for its participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, and wished the visit of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister success.
HRH Prince Salman visited the Japanese Pavilion, where he was briefed on its innovative displays that showcase Japan’s cultural heritage alongside its scientific and technological progress.
He commended Japan’s advancement across various sectors and its success in hosting the expo.
