BAHRAIN Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) chairman Sameer Nass highlighted the vision of His Majesty King Hamad in supporting economic openness and attracting investment, and the commitment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has consolidated Bahrain’s position as a leading investment destination and a developed regional and international trade and industrial hub.
Mr Nass was speaking at a meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, held as part of the official visit of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Serbia.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Serbia, resident in Russia, along with Bahraini and Serbian business leaders and senior company officials from both countries.
Mr Nass noted that Bahrain’s strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and investment friendly legislation have made it a preferred choice for global and regional companies seeking access to regional markets.
He added that these vital sectors form a cornerstone of Bahrain’s economic development and open broad prospects for building strategic partnerships, contributing to income diversification and the sustainability of the national economy.
He underlined that, with the support of its leadership and a flexible investment environment, Bahrain will continue to serve as a gateway to diverse markets and a strategic hub for investments and joint ventures. He emphasised that Bahrain-Serbia relations hold strong potential for growth and prosperity.
The meeting discussed means to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and expand investment partnerships across multiple sectors. The meeting served as an important step towards broadening Bahrain-Serbia economic relations in line with the aspirations of both leaderships.
The Bahraini delegation also shared successful national experiences in key economic sectors, including banking and finance, aluminium, real estate, and investment, which have enhanced Bahrain’s appeal as an integrated business centre and destination for international investors.
Extensive discussions were also held between the Bahraini delegation and Serbian company officials and traders on boosting trade exchange across various domains.
