A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed to drive the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Bahrain and across the region, supporting the kingdom’s vision of becoming a leading hub for innovation, technology and sustainable growth.
The strategic partnership was announced by AIonOS, a leading enterprise AI company, and Almoayyed Computers Middle East (ACME), a leading technology solutions provider.
It aims to empower regional businesses with scalable AI solutions, strengthen the digital economy and accelerate AI adoption across sectors including education, healthcare, telecommunications, tourism and manufacturing.
“The signing represents a pivotal moment for AI development in our region,” said ACME chief executive S M Hussaini. “By combining our expertise, we’re creating unprecedented opportunities for technological advancement that will benefit customers and the broader tech industry.”
For his part, AIonOS co-founder and vice chairman CP Gurnani said he is honoured to contribute expertise to scale AI technologies that will not only enhance Bahrain’s growth but also create a more sustainable, prosperous future for its citizens. “We are committed to ensuring that AI will be a catalyst for positive change in the kingdom, improving services, generating employment, advancing economic diversification and ultimately enriching the quality of life for all,” he added.
During his recent visit to Bahrain, Mr Gurnani engaged in discussions about the future of AI and the remarkable opportunities it presents for the kingdom.
The MoU establishes a framework for comprehensive collaboration, focusing on developing next-generation AI technologies and expanding market reach through innovative solutions.
