A mother and her two children are recovering at Salmaniya Medical Complex after a fire broke out in their Damistan apartment yesterday.
Firemen tackled the blaze and ambulance crews cared for the injured family members before taking them to hospital.
The mother sustained second-degree burns to her face and upper limbs and the children needed treatment for smoke inhalation.
The Interior Ministry said that an investigation was on to determine the cause of the fire.
