The Bahrain Chamber first vice-chairman Khalid Najibi met Zhou Chunlin, the economic and commercial counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, to discuss boosting trade and business ties.
Mr Najibi highlighted the strong relationship between the two countries, noting that trade exceeded $2.3 billion in 2024. He pointed to the successful visit by His Majesty King Hamad to China last year as a key driver of positive economic outcomes.
The discussion focused on potential areas for collaboration, including data centres, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. Mr Najibi encouraged the exchange of business delegations and the organisation of joint events to foster deeper cooperation.
Mr Chunlin praised the growing business relationship and expressed a desire to advance it further.
Also in attendance were other officials from the Bahrain Chamber, including second vice-chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji.
