Firefighters in northern Italy on Monday rescued residents trapped in residential areas and schools as heavy rains triggered flooding and landslides in parts of northern Italy, authorities said.
In Milan, rescuers used amphibious vehicles to evacuate about 300 children stranded in schools in the Niguarda district.
