Eighteen people benefited from a training workshop on mental health and psychosocial support in emergencies organised by the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The programme, led by ICRC mental health and psychosocial support projects co-ordinator Islam Al Araj and BRCS health awareness committee head Mayser Awadallah at the society’s headquarters, equipped volunteers and mental health professionals with skills to provide psychological care during crises. Sessions covered mental health basics, stress and trauma management, grief support, child-focused care and community-based awareness activities.
