A musical dance play ‘Vindhyavali’ is set to captivate the audience tonight as part of the ongoing Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Onam celebrations.
The production is centred on Vindhyavali, the wife of the legendary King Mahabali, whose return is commemorated during the Onam festival.
It is being presented and backed by the BKS Ladies Wing, and starts at 8pm at the BKS Diamond Jubilee Hall as part of the Sraavanam 2025 Onam celebrations.
The chief guest at the event is renowned actor and the first female president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), Shwetha Menon.
Written and choreographed by Vidyasree, a distinguished dance teacher and actress based in Bahrain, ‘Vindhyavali’ brings to life the lesser-known moments of Vindhyavali’s journey, reimagined through a mesmerising blend of dance and music.
The play is co-ordinated by BKS Ladies Wing president Mohini Thomas and Programme Convener Divya Manoj, with more than 100 artists and technicians from Bahrain contributing to this ambitious project.
