General Poultry Company (GPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat, has been officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work.’
The recognition from the global authority on workplace culture validates the company’s commitment to creating an exceptional employee experience.
The certification is based on anonymous employee surveys and an in-depth assessment of workplace practices. GPC employees consistently reported high levels of trust in leadership, pride in their work, and strong camaraderie with colleagues.
“Being recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’ is a proud moment for every member of the GPC family,” said chief executive officer Wael Itani. “This achievement is built on the dedication of our employees and our belief that a thriving, inclusive workplace is essential to delivering the highest-quality fresh eggs to our customers.”
Mr Itani added that the results underscore GPC’s continuous investment in employee wellbeing, training, development, and open communication.
Bahrain’s leading producer of fresh eggs since 1977, GPC has been supplying millions of Bahraini households and businesses daily. This long-standing market leadership is now matched by a company culture where every employee, from farm operations to senior management, feels valued and supported. Initiatives like continuous skills training, transparent career pathways, and a strong commitment to health and safety have strengthened employee engagement.
Jalila Alsaeed, human resources and administration manager at GPC, said: “This recognition validates our efforts to create an environment where everyone learns, grows, and takes pride in their contributions. We see this as a milestone and a motivator to keep raising the bar.”
Great Place to Work is a global authority that has been certifying workplaces in over 150 countries for more than three decades, using rigorous data and employee feedback.
