Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani took part in the Munich Leaders Meeting (MLM), organised by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in AlUla. The meeting brought together a number of foreign ministers from Arab and foreign countries, as well as experts and specialists in regional and international political affairs.
The two-day conference will address a wide range of pressing regional and international issues, including the situation in the Middle East, maritime security in the Red Sea, energy security, the Israeli-Iranian conflict concerning the Iranian nuclear programme, support for and reconstruction of Syria, efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine, as well as challenges related to climate, water, and food security, among other vital topics.
Dr Al Zayani met Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Shaikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah on the sidelines of the Munich Leaders Meeting.
They exchanged constructive talks and discussed aspects of the longstanding relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as the efforts taken to develop and strengthen them in various sectors.
Dr Al Zayani separately met Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Dr Badr Abdelatty and Niels Annen, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development of Germany on the sidelines of the meeting.
They discussed the deep-rooted relations and also addressed the latest regional developments and their implications for regional security and stability.
