Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani held a telephone call with his Kazakhstan counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev.
Dr Al Zayani congratulated Mr Kosherbayev on his appointment and wished him success in his duties.
He expressed his aspiration to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
Mr Kosherbayev emphasised his keenness to expand co-operation between the two countries.
The call also reviewed the close relations between Bahrain and Kazakhstan and discussed means to enhance joint co-operation in areas of common interest.
