His Majesty King Hamad received a cable of congratulations from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on McLaren’s victory in the 2025 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship for the second consecutive year.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted that McLaren’s successive achievements reflect Bahrain’s progress and leadership in the sports sector, particularly in motorsport.
These achievements contribute to enhancing Bahrain’s standing on the global sporting stage and align with His Majesty’s vision for ongoing national development, he added.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that the achievements reflect the determination and commitment of Team Bahrain members, who continue to proudly represent their nation internationally.
He also reiterated the dedication to implementing the King’s directives to build a future of further growth and development for the kingdom and its people.
He extended best wishes to His Majesty, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity under his leadership.
Briton Lando Norris secured third place in the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, while his Australian teammate Oscar Piastri finished fourth in a fiercely competitive race held under the lights of the Singapore circuit, known for being one of the most challenging tracks due to its tight corners and precise layout.
With this victory, McLaren, owned by Mumtalakat Holding Company, secured the constructors’ championship for the second consecutive season, with six rounds remaining.
The team extended its lead by 27 points at the Singapore Grand Prix, bringing its total to 650 points, a significant 327-point advantage over its nearest rival.
Piastri retained his lead in the Drivers’ Championship with 336 points, followed by Norris with 314 points, further underscoring McLaren’s dominance this season.
