The University of Bahrain (UoB) has achieved a milestone by being included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the first time since its establishment in 1986.
This marks its entry among the world’s leading universities, Education Minister and university board of trustees chairman Dr Mohammed Mubarak Juma said yesterday.
He expressed his appreciation to the leadership for the unwavering support to the kingdom’s educational march.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the most prominent global university ranking systems.
It is widely used to assess the quality of academic institutions worldwide, offering a comprehensive evaluation of universities’ performance across various academic and research fields.
The ranking serves as a benchmark for institutions to improve their performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and is also used by governments and funding bodies as a key reference in supporting higher education.
