The Bahrain Chamber yesterday welcomed a high-level Japanese business delegation, underscoring the strong and enduring economic relationship between the two nations.
Chamber second vice chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji received the delegation, which included representatives from various IT and industrial companies, led by Japan Business Centre (JBC) director Yuya Takahashi.
Mr Al Kooheji praised robust trade ties and collaborative opportunities, stressing the potential for expanding business partnerships, investments, and knowledge exchange.
He also provided the Japanese delegation with an overview of the chamber’s key role in the national economic landscape, noting its distinction as the first chamber established in the GCC.
Mr Takahashi highlighted the historic friendship built on mutual understanding and shared interests.
He affirmed the Japanese business community’s eagerness to strengthen its presence in Bahrain, identifying the kingdom’s strategic location and business-friendly environment as key factors for leveraging it as a regional hub.
The meeting was also attended by Chamber board member Yousuf Salahuddin and chief executive officer Atef Al Khaja and other officials.
