Parliament committee elections were held with four of five MPs retaining their seats as chairmen.
Those re-elected included Ahmed Al Salloom (financial and economic affairs committee), Mahmood Fardan (legislative and legal affairs committee), Hassan Bukhammas (foreign affairs, defence and national security committee), and Mohammed Al Bulooshi (public utilities and environment affairs committee).
Mamdooh Al Saleh was elected as the new services committee chairman.
Meanwhile, vice-chairpersons elected included Zainab Abdulamir (financial and economic affairs committee), Mohammed Al Ahmed (legislative and legal affairs committee), Abdulla Al Romaihi (foreign affairs, defence and national security committee), Mohammed Janahi (public utilities and environment affairs committee) and Abdulwahid Qarata (services committee).
