His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received the credentials of four newly-appointed ambassadors during a ceremony held at Sakhir Palace.
The ambassadors are: Shereen Shanika Dissanayake, Sri Lanka; Aref Yousuf Hosain Saleh, Palestine; Henning Georg Simon, Germany; and Shmuel Revel, Israel.
The King welcomed the new ambassadors and praised strong relations between Bahrain and their countries.
He also wished them success in their diplomatic missions to further develop relations and co-operation with Bahrain.
The ambassadors conveyed the greetings and wishes of their heads of state to the King and for further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.
They expressed appreciation for the strong relations their countries enjoy with Bahrain across all sectors.
Attending the ceremony were His Majesty’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and National Security Adviser Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani and Chief of Royal Protocol Major General Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Fadhala.
The ambassadors had earlier arrived separately at Sakhir Palace, where they were received by the Chief of Royal Protocol, and the customary ceremonies were held.
