The Korean Embassy hosted a reception to celebrate the East Asian nation’s National Day, at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa.
Charge d’affaires Hyemi Kim lauded the close friendship and partnership between Korea and Bahrain, as she welcomed Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Foreign Ministry consular and administrative affairs under-secretary Talal Al Ansari and bilateral relations director-general Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali Al Khalifa as chief guests.
“We have been one of the closest partners in international fora and successfully organised multiple high-level visits,” said Ms Kim.
“Building on our long-standing co-operation in energy and infrastructure, our partnership has expanded into IT and healthcare, and is now expected to extend into renewable energy, environmental technologies, smart farming, artificial intelligence, fintech and other emerging sectors,” she added.
Ms Kim also commented on the Korea-Bahrain Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement signed in July 2025, saying it was an important foundation for greater trade and investment between the two nations.
Top government officials, diplomats, business representatives and members of the Korean community in Bahrain also attended the reception.
