Safa, Bahrain’s national carbon offset and climate action platform, and a portfolio company of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), took part in the national campaign “Towards a Greener Bahrain” as part of its continued commitment to sustainability and climate action.
During the initiative, Mr. Talal Arif Al Araifi, Chief Executive Officer of Safa, planted a tree to symbolise the platform’s contribution to Bahrain’s environmental goals and its ongoing support of the Kingdom’s target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060.
The tree-planting activity aligns with the Kingdom’s environmental vision, championed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and reflects Safa’s dedication to supporting Bahrain’s national agenda to expand green spaces and combat climate change.
Commenting on the occasion, Talal Al Araifi, CEO of Safa, said:
“It was an honour to take part in this national initiative that reflects Bahrain’s collective responsibility toward a more sustainable future. Planting a tree is a meaningful reminder that small, consistent actions can have lasting impact for generations to come.
