The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) is supporting the Muharraq City Development Plan and the restoration of Isa Al Kabeer Palace, ensuring the preservation of the city’s historical and cultural identity.
The authority’s specialised teams are working with the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry and other government entities to prepare electricity and water networks, adopt modern infrastructure designs and relocate conflicting networks to ensure smooth project execution, it said.
Work includes constructing two substations near Isa Al Kabeer Palace, with three more planned.
The authority emphasised that its efforts aim to balance heritage preservation with future development.
