Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the annual Bahrain Banks Reception organised by the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) in Washington, on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings.
The event was attended by Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Khalid Humaidan.
Shaikh Salman emphasised Bahrain’s dedication to developing its financial and banking sector, highlighting its role in driving economic growth and enhancing Bahrain’s position as a prominent financial centre in the region under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He highlighted the importance of such events for promoting Bahrain’s attractive investment environment, enhance international partnerships with financial institutions, and strengthening Bahrain’s economic competitiveness and active presence in the global economy.
The Bahrain Banks Reception is a key annual event for exchanging expertise and best practices, enhancing ties with international financial institutions, and showcasing Bahrain’s achievements in the financial sector.
