Search and rescue operations continue for a sailor who fell overboard and went missing on Tuesday following a collision between an illegal shrimping boat and a Coastguard patrol vessel.
Thanking citizens for their concern over the incident, the Coastguard, however, cautioned people against heeding calls to join the search operations.
The job should be left to the specialised teams, it said, adding that the Police Aviation personnel are helping in the operations.
The Coast Guard confirmed the continuation of search and rescue operations in cooperation with Police Aviation for the sailor who went missing, expressing appreciation for the concern shown by citizens regarding the incident.
The Coast Guard said that it is important not to follow calls to participate in the search for your safety and the smooth work of the specialised search teams, following the required procedures.
