Bahraini retailer Multi Market has hired and trained 40 local employees through employment and career development programmes offered by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
The support for the national workforce at Multi Market aligns with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategic priorities, which aim to enhance the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector. The fund focuses on equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career development, prioritising enterprise growth and digitisation, and supporting the labour market ecosystem.
Tamkeen’s initiative underscores the role of private enterprises in attracting, training, and developing local talent, which is seen as crucial for increasing productivity and competitiveness. The retail sector is a significant contributor to the national economy, accounting for 4.2 per cent of the kingdom’s GDP in the second quarter of this year.
Tamkeen offers a wide range of programmes designed to empower the private sector as a key driver of economic growth and to make Bahraini talent the first choice for employment across various sectors.
Multi Market provides a comprehensive shopping experience, offering a diverse range of products including household items, fresh produce, Bahraini baked goods, seafood, meat and dairy products.
