Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi received Gulf Radio and Television Organisation (GRTO) director general Majri Mubarak Al Qahtani.
The meeting discussed preparations for Bahrain to host the 17th Gulf Radio and Television Festival in 2026.
The minister highlighted the Organisation’s role in promoting media co-operation among GCC states and fostering integration across its institutions. He noted that these efforts contribute to the technical and artistic development of radio and television production, reflecting the broader progress achieved across the GCC.
The minister also emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to deploying all necessary resources to ensure the success of the upcoming festival, with the aim of making it a Gulf-wide event that showcases the creativity and professionalism of media personnel in the region.
He added that the ministry anticipates the next edition will be even more distinguished than its predecessors.
Mr Al Qahtani commended the ministry’s support for joint Gulf media initiatives and expressed confidence in Bahrain’s ability to host a festival edition that demonstrates its media leadership and the expertise of its professionals, ensuring the event’s success as in previous years.
