His Majesty King Hamad yesterday expressed pride in the 85th anniversary of the kingdom’s pioneering radio broadcast, the first in the Gulf.
He expressed appreciation for its dedication in conveying Bahrain’s message to the world.
His Majesty also commended the radio service in Bahrain for its long-standing contribution to serving the community, spreading awareness and knowledge, fostering unity and promoting the values of coexistence and tolerance as well as addressing citizens freely and objectively.
He underlined the significant development of the radio service and the achievements realised through the efforts of generations of dedicated professionals who have enriched the kingdom’s media scene.
The King commended the Information Ministry for its commitment to professionalism and innovation across all media platforms.
It is also nurturing young Bahraini talent, describing them as the nation’s most valuable asset.
His Majesty extended his wishes to all media professionals for their continued success in their efforts to serve Bahrain and its people.
