His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) chairman Ali Al Derazi and members of the NIHR council of commissioners at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was presented the 12th edition of the NIHR’s annual report.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed that Bahrain continues to advance initiatives that strengthen and uphold human rights, in support of the comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the NIHR’s achievements under the leadership of His Majesty, aligned with the National Action Charter, the Constitution, national laws and legislation, and international conventions on human rights.
Mr Al Derazi and the council of commissioners members expressed their appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s unwavering support for the NIHR’s initiatives that advance human rights protections in the kingdom and strengthen Bahrain’s global promotion of dignity, justice and equality for all.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Cabinet Affairs Minister Hamad Al Malki also attended the meeting.
